Kathmandu. The convention of Nepali Congress has started at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu. Leaders close to Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba are also participating in the convention. Near Deuba are former Vice President Gopalman Shrestha, central members of the founding party Taraman Gurung, Dila Sangraula, Chinkaji Shrestha, Pushpa Bhusal, Karna Malla, Arjun Joshi, Rajan KC and others. Former speaker Taranath Ranabhat also reached the convention venue.

Leaders including Chandra Bhandari, Sunil Sharma, former Chief Minister of Koshi Province Kedar Karki who are close to Shekhar are also participating.
