Kathmandu. According to the Election Commission, 51 complaints have been received so far in the Central Code of Conduct Monitoring Committee and the relevant political parties and candidates have been asked for clarification, and 30 have been answered. The commission has also asked the political parties, candidates, government and non-government organizations, media and journalists who have complained about violating the election code of conduct. Legal Officer of the Commission Mohanraj Joshi informed that the registered media and the journalists affiliated there have been sent a letter for clarification and action through the Press Council Nepal.
Complaints against violation of election code of conduct have been received at the district level and necessary action is being taken. In order to reduce the incidence of violations by effective compliance of the election code of conduct, the commission is proceeding with the process of investigation and action on the complaints received.
He said that the central code of conduct monitoring committee, district code of conduct monitoring committee, district code of conduct approval officer and the relevant election office are active for the effective implementation of the code of conduct.
