The Kathmandu. Prime Minister Balendra Shah has said that the Chinese experts have searched for about 3 kilometers inside the tunnel of the Upper Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project in Rasuwa, but have not found anyone yet. Prime Minister Shah, who has been giving daily updates on social media after the Bhotekoshi floods, informed about the ongoing search and rescue program through Facebook at 8: 30 pm on Sunday.

According to Nepal Ippan, an organization of independent power producers, a large number of people are out of contact with the 216 MW Upper Trishuli-1 project. According to Ippan's account, 576 people were uncontacted at the event, 254 people had been rescued and about 300 people were trapped inside the tunnel.
