Kathmandu. Former finance minister and Nepali Congress leader Dr. Prakasharan Mahat has commented that the budget for the next financial year 2083-84 brought by the government is very ambitious and it has taken a policy to feed the rich class rather than the lower and middle class.
Speaking at the budget review program organized by the Federation of Nepal Industry and Trade on Tuesday, Dr. Mahat claimed that the budget size, revenue targets and economic growth projections were not realistic. In the current situation, the economic growth rate of 7 percent and the goal of creating 1.5 million jobs cannot be achieved, he said. The main weakness of Dr. Mahat pointed out.
