The amount of contribution to the social security fund reached one billion
Kathmandu. The amount of contribution to the social security fund, which the government has started to bring the citizens under the scope of social security, has reached nearly one billion. According to the fund, so far the total contribution amount has reached 95 billion 44 million 10 lakh 56 thousand 362. Employers registered in the fund so far have reached 22 thousand three hundred nine. Similarly, the number of registered contributors has reached 26 lakh 41 thousand 189. The fund has so far paid claims amounting to 17 billion 64 crore 88 lakh 34 thousand six hundred and eighty four.
According to the fund, the amount of drug treatment, health and maternity claims is 2 billion 512 million 94 thousand eight hundred and 22, accident and disability claim is equal to 228 million 86 million 53 thousand 475. Similarly, the dependent family security claim amount is Rs. 29 crore seven lakh 72 thousand one hundred and sixteen and the retirement claim amount is Rs. 14 billion 61 crore 73 lakh 14 thousand two hundred and seventy one
The effectiveness of the fund has also increased after the government made a mandatory arrangement for workers who go for foreign employment to participate in the fund. Self-employed workers, industrial establishments and employed workers of various organizations can participate in the labor fund and become contributors.
