Temperatures will reach 40 degrees with 'hot days' in the Terai
Kathmandu. According to Wednesday's weather forecast issued by the Department of Water and Meteorology, the weather will be very different across the country. Today afternoon most parts of the Terai will feel extremely hot and humid, while most of the cities in the hilly and Himalayan regions are likely to experience thunder and lightning.
According to the forecast, the temperature will be high in Terai cities today. Today's maximum temperature in Bhairahawa is expected to reach the country's highest of 38 to 40 degrees Celsius, though the sky will be partly cloudy. Similarly, the maximum temperature of Dhangadhi and Janakpur will reach 37 to 39 degrees Celsius, while the temperature of Nepalgunj, Simra and Biratnagar will be 36 to 38 degrees Celsius. In the weather forecast, these cities with extreme heat are specifically mentioned as 'hot days'.
