Kathmandu. On the day of Magh Shukla Purnima, a month-long Swasthani fasting story is being concluded today. The month-long fast started by Vedic Sanatan Hindus at home from Paush Shukla Purnima is going to be formally concluded today. Devotees from all over the country, who have started the Swasthani fast from Paush Shukla Purnima and worshiped Mahadev along with Parvati daily at midday, are going to end the fast today. 

The dialogue between Kumar and Agastya in the Magha Mahatmya of the Kedar section of the Skanda Purana, which was started on the same day, is being told and listened to as a healthy story. Bertalu, who had fasted for a month, offered 108 betel nuts, 108 betel nuts, 108 betel leaves, 108 flowers, 108 bread, 108 rice cakes, different kinds of fruits, incense, lights, offerings, Shrikhand, blood sandalwood, vermilion, clothes and offerings to Bhagwati so that the wishes of the fast would be fulfilled.

Out of all the offerings, eight (eight) are given to the husband, if there is no husband, to the son, and if there is no son, to the married son, and if there is no married son, there is a fasting method of pouring the log into the nearest holy river.
