'Stalls' including public library closed after non-payment of rent

Kathmandu. According to the decision of the Nepal government, stalls that have not paid rent for a long time along with the Kathmandu Valley Public Library at Bhrikutimand have been closed. According to the Ministry of Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities and Social Security, the decision was implemented with the aim of protecting public property, implementing legal obligations and effectively managing the assets of the Social Welfare Council.

According to the ministry, the Social Welfare Council had repeatedly issued written correspondence, public notices and final notices to the concerned organizations and asked them to pay the arrears.
