Squatters' movement is intensifying, warnings from roadblocks to general strikes
Kathmandu. The All Nepal Squatters Association has started a protest against the government's move to remove squatter settlements in various parts of the country including Kathmandu. Through a press conference held on Thursday, the union announced the program of the protest in two stages. According to the president of the association, Amar Periyar, in the first phase, people's representatives and political leadership will be brought to their attention.
Under this, a program has been scheduled to inform the members of the House of Representatives and the State Assembly about the problems and demands. It is said that the second phase of the movement will start from May 20.
