Sports Minister Gupta's visit to America is cancelled, he will not resign immediately
Kathmandu. Youth and Sports Minister Bablu Gupta has recently been involved in controversy. Within a short time of holding the ministry, Gupta became controversial over his visit to America. There is talk that Gupta became a minister from Genji's quota. Minister Gupta was called by a group of non-resident Nepali association NRNA.
It was criticized that the group was not official and that he got the visit approved by the Council of Ministers by showing a fake invitation. Two groups of NRNA America also issued separate statements regarding Minister Gupta's visit. One group said that they were invited, while the other group claimed that they did not invite Gupta. After pressure from all sides, Minister Gupta has decided not to visit America.
On Friday evening, his secretariat said that Minister Gupta will no longer visit the US. Although he has postponed his visit to prepare for the election, he will not resign immediately.
