Solu Hydropower IPO to issue from today
Kathmandu. Solu Hydropower Limited has issued an initial public issue IPO for the local residents of the project-affected areas and Nepali workers who are employed abroad from today on November 7th. The company was allowed to issue 20 percent of the issued capital of 10 billion rupees, i.e. 20 million shares worth 2 billion rupees. Out of which, 1 crore ordinary shares worth Rs 1 billion at Rs 100 per share have been issued targeting the local residents of the project affected areas.
For the IPO, it has been arranged that the application can be made for a minimum of 10 shares and a maximum of 1 lakh shares. The application period for the local residents of the project-affected areas will last until November 21st at the earliest and until January 7th at the latest. For Nepalese who are employed abroad, the earliest date for applying is 10th November and the latest is 21st November.
According to the company, based on the environmental impact assessment report on the project affected, 40 million shares will be distributed to the residents of Solu Dudhkunda Municipality-7 and 11 and Thulung Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality-1 and 60 million shares will be distributed to the local residents of other affected wards.
