Six arrested for attacking armed police, main accused still absconding
Birganj. Parsa police have arrested six people on the charge of attacking the police in Adarsh Nagar of Birganj. Four Nepalis and two Indians have been arrested by the police on the charges of murderous industry and criminal nuisance for physically assaulting the security personnel who went to take control of the goods stored after defrauding the customs.
Among those arrested, Virganj Metropolitan City Ward No. 38-year-old Dipraj Sahni Malah of 1 Chhapkaiya, 46-year-old Pramod Kumar Kanu of Ward No. 10 Ghadiarwa, 20-year-old Kunjan Sarraf, 55-year-old Shrichandra Prasad Sah of Vindwasini Rural Municipality 5 of Parsa, 40-year-old Prabhu Mahato of Bharat Vihar Motihari Raxaul, 35-year-old Pritam Kumar Chaudhary of Bhagalpur Podia.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Hari Bahadur Basnet informed that six persons were arrested on the charge of attacking the joint team of Armed Police Force, representatives of Birgunj Customs Office and security personnel who had seized illegal goods stored in Madan Gupta's godown called Runche Madan in Adarsh Nagar, Birganj, on the morning of January 26.
