Shikhar Power's IPO allotment, 24 lakh 66 thousand applicants empty handed
Kathmandu. Shikhar Power Development Limited opened the sale to the general public from February 17th to 26th, and the IPO was distributed today on March 3rd by Global IME Capital Limited, the sales manager. The company got permission from the Nepal Securities Board on January 16 to sell a total of 32 lakh IPO shares at Rs 100 per share.
Immediately after getting the permission, IPO was issued and distributed to the Nepalese who are employed abroad from January 6th to January 9th and to the project affected people until January 20th. After that, the company opened the IPO sale to the general public including collective investment funds and employees in the second phase. The company sold a total of 18 lakh 42 thousand 600 IPO shares to the general public at Rs 100 per share. It was arranged that a minimum of 10 shares and a maximum of 10,000 shares can be demanded.
Out of 26 lakh 87 thousand 347 applications received throughout the sale period, only 26 lakh 50 thousand 847 applications for 2 crore 83 lakh 94 thousand 790 shares were accepted. In other words, a total of 36 thousand 500 applicants' applications have been cancelled. In this way, the IPO has been distributed through the round robin system as there have been more applications than the demand. In allotment, 1 lakh 84 thousand 260 applicants have got shares at the rate of 10 and 10 shares, while the remaining 24 lakh 66 thousand 587 applicants have been left empty-handed.
