Sharp Decline in Gold Prices: Down by 3,800 in a Single Day, Silver Also Becomes Cheaper

Kathmandu — The prices of both gold and silver fell sharply in the Nepali market today. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Federation, the price of gold dropped by Rs 3,800 per tola today. With this decline, the price of hallmark gold has been set at Rs 291,000 per tola. On the previous day, Monday, gold was traded at Rs 294,800 per tola.
Gold prices have been falling continuously for the past three days. The price of gold, which fell by Rs 1,000 per tola last Sunday and by Rs 300 on Monday, declined further by Rs 3,800 today, Tuesday. Seen this way, gold prices have fallen by a total of Rs 5,100 within just three days.
Along with gold, silver prices also saw a significant decline. According to the federation, silver prices fell by Rs 150 per tola today to Rs 4,880. On Monday, silver was bought and sold at Rs 5,030 per tola. Earlier, on Magh 18, silver prices had fallen by Rs 1,565 in a single day, which was the largest drop in silver prices in the history of the Nepali market.
