Severe snow and rain in Afghanistan, 61 people died in 3 days
Kathmandu. Afghanistan's disaster management agency said on Saturday that at least 61 people have died due to heavy snow and rain in many parts of the country in three days. More than 100 people were injured and more than 400 houses were destroyed due to snowfall and avalanche. This number is expected to increase, the agency said.
Due to heavy snowfall, roads including the main highway over the Hindu Kush connecting Kabul with the northern provinces have been closed.
