Kathmandu. Seven foreign nationals have been arrested for engaging in unwanted activities in the tourist destination of Thamel. The Lainchaur police team arrested seven people who caused trouble to the common people and misbehaved with the policemen on duty in Thamel and made it public on Monday. Spokesman of District Police Complex Kathmandu, Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar Bhattarai informed that domestic and foreign tourists and ordinary men who were walking on the road in the firechoke area of Thamel were arrested for unnecessarily obstructing the road and harassing them through obscene activities.
According to the police, there are five Ugandans and two Vietnamese nationals among those arrested. Spokesman Bhattarai said that the seven arrested persons are being investigated by District Administration Office Kathmandu with an extension of seven days.
