RSVP's opinion on Khagendra Sunar's statement is public
Kathmandu. National Independent Party RSVP has released its official opinion regarding the expression of Khagendra Sunar, candidate for the House of Representatives of Banke Region No. 3. The party has expressed serious interest in this matter after the comments related to the cow, the national animal, came into controversy.
In a statement issued by the party's general minister Kavindra Burlakoti on Friday, it has been mentioned that the party has apologized for the confusion caused in the society and the impact on religious and cultural sentiments due to the views expressed before Sunar joined the party.
In the statement, candidate Sunar has made it clear publicly that he is a vegetarian, does not support the killing of any animal (bird) and has full respect for the national animal. The party said that even though confusion was created when some content circulated on social media was presented without context, he apologized for the feelings hurt by it.
