Hetaunda Due to the expansion of the road started in the Hetaunda market area under the East-West Highway and Tribhuvan Rajpath, an alternative route will be implemented to facilitate traffic management. The Road Division Office, Hetaunda, has arranged for a temporary route change so that the traffic is not affected after the construction work in the main market area is rapidly progressing.

For the vehicles going to Kathmandu and Chitwan, it has been decided to take Ratomate from Chowkitol Tirtire Dhara at Hetaunda 1 via Rapti Bridge. The office has already completed the preparation to divert the vehicles entering from the east side from Ratomate. According to the head of the office, Guru Prasad Adhikari, the road expansion and maintenance work is being carried out in a phased manner. "As construction will continue in the main market area, vehicles will be driven only by using alternative routes," said the official. According to him, Ratomate (Trivenidham) (Rapti Bridge route) will be used as the main alternative route.

Similarly, arrangements have been made to divert the vehicles coming from Kathmandu or Narayangadh and heading towards Birganj to the main market area instead of taking them to an alternative route. The vehicles going east will be used the Rapti bridge (Triveni-Ratomate route) while the vehicles going west towards Chitwan or Kathmandu will again be driven through the Ratomate-Rapti bridge.

The plan to bring the traffic towards Kanti and Madan Bhandari Lokmarg to Ratomate has also been moved forward. The official said that the work of filling potholes, packing gravel etc. has already started to make the alternative route operable.
