Risk of heavy rains: Vehicular movement suspended for 24 hours in Baitadi and Darchula

Baitadi Due to the high risk of floods and landslides along with continuous rains, the operation of public and private vehicles has been banned in the two hilly districts of Baitadi and Darchula in the Far West. The District Administration Offices have decided to stop traffic after the Weather Forecasting Division and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority classified Baitadi and Darchula as 'high risk' districts and asked them to be on high alert.
In Baitadi, from 6:00 am today to 6:00 am tomorrow, driving has been completely banned across the district. As it has been raining continuously since last night, the local administration has appealed to the transporters and general public not to drive all long and short distance vehicles to avoid any possible accident.
