Ramechhap bus accident update: the death toll has reached 12!
Kathmandu. The number of people killed in the bus accident in the Tamakoshi river near Ramechhapa has reached 12. Chief District Officer of Ramechhap CDO Shyam Krishna Thapa informed Online Khabar that the death toll has reached 12. According to him, six dead bodies have been found while searching the place where the bus fell. With this, the number of dead has reached 12.
According to CDO Thapa, 6 people were treated at the hospital and 6 dead bodies were found at the scene. The bus that left from Kathmandu to Pokali in Okhaldhunga via Dhobi in Ramechhap fell into the Tamakoshi river. Out of 8 people injured in the accident, 7 people have been sent to Dhulikhel Hospital.
The police said that this morning, a bus numbered 03-01-995 B 9975 from a place called Machanetar in Ramechhap fell into the Tamakoshi river. According to Arani's Transport Committee, 5 passengers bought tickets from Jadibuti and 3 passengers from Chabahil. It is not clear whether other passengers have boarded or boarded from the road.
CDO Thapa said that the armed police diving team is still searching. The bus fell off the road and plunged into the river.
