Rainfall Update: Still less rain
Kathmandu. The Department of Water and Meteorology has released an estimate that the rainfall will be below normal for a few more months. According to public estimates, it is expected to rain less than Sardar during the period from December 17 to next February 16. According to the information officer of the department, Dinkar Kayastha, last December too, there was less rain than Sardar. He said that less rain is expected in the coming days as well.
During the two months period from January 17th to February 16th, most parts of the country will receive less than Sardar rainfall, he said that there is a possibility of rainfall less than Sardar, Sardar and more than Sardar in the Far West, Northern parts of Karnali Province and North (Western) regions of Gandaki Province.
According to Kayastha, there is a 55 to 65 percent chance of rain less than Sardar in the central part of Sudurpaschim Province, southern part of Karnali, Lumbini and Gandaki Province, most of Bagmati Province, central part of Madhes Province and western part of Koshi Province.
