Public transport fares increased

Kathmandu. Public transport fares have increased. After the ministerial decision of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Sunil Lamsal, the Transport Management Department has increased the fare. After the recent increase in the price of crude oil, the price of fuel has also increased in Nepal. Along with this, the transport businessmen were demanding to increase the fare.

According to the department, the passenger fare has increased by 16.71 percent. Freight has increased by 15.75 percent on the Terai and 21.68 percent on the hill side.
