Public holiday on August 22!

Kathmandu. The Bagmati state government has decided to give a public holiday in three districts on Monday, August 22, on the occasion of Nwagi Chonam, the main festival of the Chepang community. According to the provincial government, the day will be a public holiday in Chitwan, Makwanpur and Dhading districts.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law of the state published a notice in the gazette and arranged for holidays in three districts on the occasion of Nwagi festival. The provincial government has declared a holiday in the respective districts targeting the Nwagi festival traditionally celebrated by the Chepang community.
