Protests in Sans over controversial remarks on borders

Main News Image

Kathmandu. There is still opposition in Sans regarding Prime Minister Balen Shah's controversial statement on the border. The same scene was seen in the parliament session held 8 days later on Sunday. The opposition parties have reiterated their demand that the Prime Minister himself should give a clear answer from the rostrum of the House of Representatives saying that the explanation given by the RSP Congress in Chitwan was not sufficient.

Opposition to Prime Minister Balen Shah's controversial statement regarding the border has not yet stopped in Parliament. When the opposition parties continued to demand that the Prime Minister's statement be corrected, this issue also got priority in the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday. Prime Minister Balen, while answering the questions raised by the parliamentarians in the parliament on May 17, had expressed that Nepal has also violated India's border.

Prime Minister Balen has been continuously opposed since that statement. Earlier, on May 27, Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal gave an explanation in Parliament on behalf of the Prime Minister after the House itself was blocked due to the protests.
