Prohibition order in Kapilvastu after dispute between Hindu and Muslim community

Kathmandu. An injunction has been issued in Kapilvastu's Maharajganj area to prevent the dispute between Hindu and Muslim communities from escalating. The District Administration Office, Kapilvastu, has announced a ban on gatherings, assemblies, processions and demonstrations in the east of Maharajgunj, up to Bargadi Bridge in the east, Bahadurganj Chowk in the west, Maharajganj Bazaar in the north and Hardauna area in the south, effective from 2:00 p.m. The notification was issued by Chief District Officer Bhaviswar Ghimire.
According to the administration, a dispute arose during the celebration of Eid by the Muslim community and Navratri by the Hindu community in the border area of Maharajganj-2 and 3.
