Prime Minister Takaichi's party has an overwhelming majority in Japan

Kathmandu. Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) won a historic victory in Japan's Lower House elections on Sunday. Earlier, LDP, which had 198 seats, won 316 seats in this election. In the lower house of 465 seats, 310 seats are required for two-thirds.

But LDP won 316 seats alone. The Japan Innovation Party, allied with the NDP, won 36 seats. With this, Takachi's ruling coalition has won 352 seats. The seats of the opposition alliance have fallen drastically. Talking to reporters after the clear victory of the party, Takaichi said, 'We have been continuously emphasizing on responsible and active financial policy. We will give priority to the sustainability of the financial policy and ensure the necessary investment.
