Preparing to introduce monetary policy on July 1, the National Bank Act is being amended
Kathmandu. The government is going to announce the monetary policy from the next financial year on July 1. Necessary legal preparations have been made for that. This agreement was reached during the regular discussion on the bill made to amend the 'Nepal National Bank Act, 2058' in the meeting held on Monday by the Finance Committee under the House of Representatives.
Committee Chairman Dr.Krishnahari Budhathoki informed that the date of announcement of monetary policy has been fixed on July 1st, just like the time of announcing the budget. Chairman Budhathoki said that Bankers Association and chief executive officers of various banks have expressed serious dissatisfaction with the provisions of Section 100 of the Nepal Rashtra Bank Act.
