Preparations of the Election Commission are accelerated: district-wise sample ballots have been released
Kathmandu. The Election Commission has released the samples of the ballot papers of various districts and constituencies for the election of members of the House of Representatives to be held on February 21. The Commission has brought out the format of the ballot covering all the districts of the seven provinces. This time, different types of ballot papers have been prepared for districts with only one constituency and districts with more than one constituency.
According to the commission, the size of the ballot paper has been determined based on the number of candidates. There will be large ballot papers in areas with more candidates and smaller ballot papers in areas with fewer candidates. It is seen that the size of the ballot will be the largest in Kathmandu, which has the most constituencies and candidates.
The commission has already published the samples of actual ballot papers of various districts of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Samples of districts with one constituency like Salyan, Dolpa, Mugu, Jumla and districts with two constituencies like Dailekh and Surkhet of Karnali have been made public. Similarly, samples from Bajura, Bajhang and Kailali, which has five constituencies in the Far West, have been released by the commission.
