Preparation of the government to reduce the risk of floods and landslides, postponement of examinations and ban on employee leave

The Kathmandu. The government has intensified the preparation and response work to prevent the loss of lives due to possible floods, landslides and drowning caused by the continuous rain across the country. According to the instructions given by Prime Minister Balendra Shah before leaving for the United States to attend the United Nations General Assembly, Acting Prime Minister and Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has specially discussed disaster preparedness with the ministers.

During the discussion, informing that the entire ministry and its subordinate bodies have been mobilized with high alertness, Acting Prime Minister Wagle has urged the local levels not to make any effort to use their resources for disaster response.
