Preparation for renegotiation between the US and Iran
Kathmandu. The second round of high-level peace talks will resume in Pakistan's Islamabad with the aim of reducing tensions between the US and Iran. After US President Donald Trump indicated that talks could be held in Pakistan within the next two days, it has been viewed with great interest in world politics. Earlier, after last week's 21-hour long marathon talks ended without any conclusion, military tension between the two countries and uncertainty in the oil market increased.
This negotiation environment was created with the active mediation of Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal General Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. President Trump praised Pakistan's mediating role during an interview and said he was positive about sending a negotiating team to Islamabad.
