Preparation for regular flights from Kathmandu to Dhaka
Kathmandu. Nepal Air Service Corporation has prepared to fly directly from Kathmandu to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh in the near future. The Corporation has started the necessary preparations and has formed a Feasibility Study Sub-Committee for the same and said that the necessary work is being done. Even though it is a neighboring country, the Nepali flag carrier aircraft could not fly to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
Captain Subas Rizal, director of the operation department of the corporation, informed that the necessary process has been carried forward keeping in mind the same requirement. There are regular flights from Bangladesh to Kathmandu. Nepal's private sector Himalayan Airlines is also flying to Dhaka. The flight of the national flag carrier has not yet taken place. According to the corporation, the flight will be decided based on the report given by the study committee.
Likewise, the Corporation has further expanded the Kathmandu Delhi Kathmandu air flight service. Currently, the corporation has added three more flights a week on that route from March 17th. After the new arrangement, there are 10 weekly flights from Kathmandu to Delhi. A Cargo Management System Study Taskforce has been formed to make the cargo business more robust and successful.
