Pradeep Gyawali's Commentary on Balen and Ravi's Alliance: Searching for Tilasmi Tattva leads nowhere
Kathmandu. CPN-UML leader Pradeep Gyawali has said that it is natural and positive for like-minded people to stand together. Commenting on the unity talks being held by National Independent Party Chairman Ravi Lamichhane, Kathmandu Metropolitan Mayor Balen Shah and Energy Minister Kulman Ghising, Gyawali said that they are trying to create unnecessary 'waves' in it.
He said that this union is trying to spread the illusion that such a 'saviour' will be born and the country will be liberated. "But the search for such a talisman element will not lead the country anywhere," he said, "It is not that individuals do not have a role in making a country, but the making of a country is ultimately about ideas, institutions, systems and collectivity."
Gyawali has objected to the fact that it is natural and positive for like-minded people to stand together, but it is being tried to create an unnecessary 'wave'. It is better for like-minded people to stand together. "That's right, only time will tell if there is an agreement," he said. He also said that it is positive that the forces that come from the tendency to burn the Singha Durbar or celebrate in the summer try to reach the Singha Durbar through democratic competition.
