Pokhara International Airport Corruption Case: The authority filed a writ in the Supreme Court
Kathmandu. The Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission has approached the Supreme Court expressing dissatisfaction with the bail order of the special court in the corruption case related to the construction of Pokhara International Airport. The Authority filed a petition on Tuesday, March 24, demanding that the representatives of the construction company China CMC Engineering, involved in the case, be kept in custody and tried. It has been demanded that the order be revoked and the accused be kept in custody as they were released on simple dates and low bail.
Among the main accused, Robin Rizal, the representative of the construction company, was released on bail of Rs 25 lakh, Ratish Chandra Lal Suman on Rs 5 lakh and Bhim Prasad Acharya on bail of Rs 250,000. Claiming that these bond amounts are low, the authority has demanded to reverse the order. Similarly, the defendants who were released on the ordinary date, Dr. It has been demanded that Punyaraj Shakya, Hari Bahadur Khadka and Roshan Chitrakar be kept in custody and the case be tried.
