People chase those who oppose democracy from their villages: Chief Minister Baniyan
Bhaktapur. The Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Indra Bahadur Banian, has said that the people will chase those who oppose democracy from the villages. In the greeting exchange program organized by the Nepali Congress Bhaktapur district working committee in Bhaktapur on Wednesday, Chief Minister Banian said that democratic republic has been established in the country with the blood of all people, including poor workers and farmers, and said that those who oppose democracy will be chased away from the villages.
He said that everything from the ward to the center should be improved in order not to repeat the incident that happened during the Genji movement in the future. He said that if the representatives sent by the people act properly, no one should be afraid. Chief Minister Baniyan said that democrats should stand together in crisis.
Similarly, Congress Bhaktapur President Durbha Thapa said that parties with different views should come together to strengthen democracy. He insisted that there is a need now to unite the Congress and move forward. Thapa said that he has been the chairman of Bhaktapur district twice, but even after amending the constitution, he mentioned that there is a situation where he has to become the chairman for the third time. He said that a person who comes to the district only on one day of the convention cannot be given the responsibility of the district president.
