Partly cloudy in Himalayan and hilly areas, possibility of heat wave in Terai region

Kathmandu. At present there is a partial influence of western and local winds in Nepal. Due to its influence, there will be clouds in the Himalayan and hilly regions of the country and the weather will be mainly clear in the plains. According to the weather 'bulletin' issued by the Department of Water and Meteorology, Weather Forecasting Division, there is a possibility of moderate to moderate rain and snowfall in Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
There is a possibility of hot days in the valleys and gorges of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces including Madhesh province, while there is also a possibility of heat waves in the terai areas of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Similarly, the Himalayan and hilly areas of Koshi region including Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali regions will have partly cloudy skies tonight and the weather will be mainly clear in the rest of the Himalayan, hilly and Terai regions. The division has informed that there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall at one or two places in the Himalayan area of Koshi Province.
