Partial influence of westerly winds remains, light rain likely in these states today

30 October, Kathmandu. The weather forecasting division under the Department of Water and Meteorology has informed that there is currently a partial influence of western winds in the country and there is a possibility of a partial influence of the western low pressure system today and tomorrow. At present, it is generally cloudy in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, partly cloudy in the Himalayan and hilly areas of Lumbini province and rest of the province, while the weather is mainly clear in the remaining areas.
It will be generally cloudy in the hilly areas of the country today afternoon. It will be partly cloudy over the hilly parts of the country. The weather will remain mostly clear in Terai region of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim regions and partly cloudy in rest of Terai region. There is a chance of moderate to moderate rain and snow with thunder and lightning at few places in the hilly areas of the country, a few places in the hilly areas of Lumbini and Gandaki regions and a couple of places in the rest of the hilly areas.
