Kathmandu. According to the weather forecast division, there is a partial effect of western wind in Nepal. Due to the effect of which there is currently a thunderstorm in the Terai region and the valleys, while there is generally cloud cover in the highlands and Himalayan regions of the country including the Far West and Karnali Provinces.

This afternoon, some places of Terai region will be cloudy and foggy till noon. It will be generally cloudy in the highlands and mountainous regions of the country. The rest of the hilly areas will be partly cloudy and the plains will be mainly clear.  

There is a possibility of snowfall with light rain at one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali regions.

Few places over Terai region will experience light rain tonight. The higher hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki will be mostly cloudy and the weather will remain mainly clear over the rest of the region.
