Parliamentary committee directive to government to implement tracking system on gas cylinders
Kathmandu. The Committee on Industry and Commerce and Labor and Consumer Affairs of the House of Representatives has instructed the government to use modern technology and implement an effective tracking system for the consumption, management and safety of LP gas.
In the meeting held at Singha Durbar on Thursday, the Chairman of the Committee, Rahbar Ansari, also instructed to keep gas cylinders and to classify cylinders for commercial and household purposes. Clear information about where the cylinder originated, when it was filled and when its last test was done should be known through the tracking system. As soon as we say tracking, we are trying to talk about not just empty tracking, but it is comprehensive, he said.
