Organized crime and money laundering case against Ravi withdrawn

Kathmandu. The government, through the Attorney General's Office, has withdrawn the charges related to organized crime and money laundering filed in various district courts against the Chairman of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party RSWP, Ravi Lamichhane. According to the instructions of the Attorney General's Office, the process of withdrawing the case has been initiated through the relevant public prosecutor. However, it is said that the cooperative fraud case filed against Lamichhane will remain the same.

Lamichhane had already submitted an application for the withdrawal of the case, claiming that the charges of organized crime and money laundering linked to the co-operative fraud case were based on political bias. After this decision of the Attorney General, the ongoing money laundering and organized crime case in District Court Kaski will be withdrawn.
