Order to release Ravi from prison by the High Court!

Kathmandu. The ButwalBench of the High Court Tulsipur has ordered Ravi Lamichhane, Chairman of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party, to be released from prison after accepting the possible misdemeanor amount. A bench of Judges Basudev Acharya and Tejnarayan Poudel on 26 July 2082 quashed the refusal of the District Court Rupandehi to take bail.

The High Court has ordered to secure the amount submitted for bank bail and to accept the bail amount. District Court Rupandehi will now have to accept the bank guarantee of Rs 2.74 million submitted by Ravi. And one million bond submitted in January, 2081 will also have to be taken.

"It was seen that Ravi Lamichhane has ensured that the money of the savers will be received by guaranteeing the money due to Damasahi in case of default," said the High Court's order, "As the first priority is to ensure the money of the savers and investors, the bank guarantee given by Lamichhane will be accepted under the following conditions and proceed with the proceedings of the case."

The High Court has asked to accept the amount due to Damasahi out of the amount of money transferred from Supreme Cooperative to Ravi-run Gorkha Media as a bank guarantee. The High Court has said that if Ravi Lamichhane has to travel abroad personally or institutionally, the court should be informed in advance.

In addition to that, Ravi Lamichhane has been told to produce documents and be released from prison if he agrees to pay the amount of the debt as determined in the judgment of the original case.
