One more person involved in the killing of the police in the Genji movement was arrested

Kathmandu. The police have arrested one more person on the charge of involvement in the murder of Uttam Thapa, a police constable working in the Maharajgunj police circle.
The team of District Police Complex Kathmandu arrested 21-year-old Song Gurung from Dhumbarahi in Kathmandu. He was arrested on charges of being involved in the violent incident that took place during the Genji movement on August 24. On that day, the protestors attacked the Maharajgunj police station and killed police constables Uttam Thapa and Asai Milan Rai. In addition, the police office was also set on fire.

Even earlier, the police have arrested Yuvraj Kapchaki and Sonam Tamang, Buddhilal Thing, who were involved in this incident.
Similarly, during the same movement, police constable Amrit Gurung was also killed in Koteshwar. The police said that they are investigating the arrested persons.
