One killed, one injured in three-vehicle collision
Bhaktapur. A motorcyclist was injured while a scooter driver was killed in a collision with a tipper near the Kamalvinayak bus park here.
Surya Bahadur Khadka, District Police Chief and Superintendent of Police Surya Bahadur Khadka informed that a motorcycle number Ba 55 P 1745 going from Kamalvinayak to Cheamasingh went out of control and collided with a scooter number Bagmati Province 02-020P-1168 coming from the same direction.
He informed that 26-year-old Bimal Vanmala, a resident of Bhaktapur Municipality-8, who was seriously injured in the accident, died today during treatment at Bhaktapur Hospital. Similarly, 24-year-old Rajesh Vanmala of Bhaktapur Municipality-7 Inachok, who was injured in the accident, is undergoing treatment at B&B Hospital in Lalitpur, police said.
He informed that the police arrested 25-year-old Rajkumar Majhi of Sindhupalchok, who was absconding after the accident, and started investigation and all the three vehicles involved in the accident were kept in the police circle.
