Oli's claim: The incident of August 24 was planned and an attempt was made to attack him

Kathmandu. Former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has claimed that the incident on August 24 was planned. In a written statement given to the commission headed by Gauri Bahadur Karki, which is investigating the incidents of August 23 and 24, Oli said that such damage in a short time was not a coincidence, but planned.

Oli has mentioned that even if he wants to mobilize the Nepali Army to control the situation on August 24, it is not possible. He has claimed that there was an attempt to target him by entering Baluwatar on that day and his life was at risk.

According to him, the intrusion of not only internal but also external forces is seen in the movement. Oli's conclusion is that the damage to private property, including the Parliament building, the Supreme Court, the Prime Minister's and the President's residences, is as per the plan. He also complained that he did not get the expected support from the security agencies.

Oli has reiterated his position that there is doubt that a fair report will be forthcoming as commission coordinator Karki had published his opinion on social media before the incident.
