Main News Image

Kathmandu. The second edition of the Nepal Premier League NPL in the capital has been given a break today. Tomorrow, Tuesday, two games are scheduled. In the first match to be held at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Stadium, Kirtipur at 11:45 am, former winners Janakpur Bolts and Chitwan Rhinos will face each other and in the second match to be held at 4 pm, Pokhara Avengers and Karnali Yax will face each other. Janakpur, which is at the bottom after losing four games in a row, wants to stay in the race for the playoffs even if it is mathematically calculated.

Chitwan, who have won two games out of four games, want to strengthen their playoff chances by winning this game. Pokhara and Karnali will face each other in the second match at 4 pm. This game is important for both teams to reach the playoffs. Having won only one game in four games, it will be easy for Pokhara to reach the playoffs if they win this game. For Karnali, this game is do or die.

So far, 19 matches have been completed in the tournament which started from 1st of November. Only the undefeated Sudurpaschim Royals became the first team to reach the playoffs with 10 points.
