The National Identification and Registration Department has started the service as a test from yesterday. Through the department's national identity card website, one can download the identity card with the person's photo and online 'verification' QR code.
Under the government's 100 work list related to governance reforms, point no. 2 mentioned that "build a system to download a person's photo and national identity card with a QR code from the department's system".
