Niharika and Vinu Yadav who went to Singh Darbar to seek justice, were detained for five days
Kathmandu. Niharika Rajput and Vinu Yadav, who came to the office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers to seek justice saying that they have been subjected to violence, have been allowed to be detained for five days. The police requested permission to detain them from the Chief District Officer of the District Administration Office, Kathmandu for investigation into the crime against public peace. Accordingly, the chief district officer allowed them to be detained for five days for investigation.
They had been protesting at the gate of the Singha Darbar for a few days demanding justice for domestic and sexual violence and entered the Singha Darbar at 9 am on Thursday. When they reached the Prime Minister's office, the police arrested them and kept them in the Maligaon police station.
