New payment gateway launched by NMB Bank for Digital Nepal
Kathmandu. NMB Bank, in collaboration with Nepal Clearing House Limited, has launched a card-based online payment gateway to simplify and secure digital transactions across the country. This new service will greatly help both physical and online e-commerce businesses.
Through this gateway, businessmen will be able to receive payments from customers through Visa and MasterCard issued by any local or foreign bank. This facility will help businessmen to expand their business as payments can be accepted within Nepal and abroad.
The payment gateway incorporates 3D Secure technology, which requires an OTP or password to authenticate the transaction, making the transaction extra secure. In this way, card transactions are very secure and the risk of unauthorized purchases is significantly reduced. The Bank is confident that this commitment to security will ensure both consumers and businesses do business online with great confidence.
The bank believes that this collaboration will be important to promote e-commerce and advance digitalization of financial transactions in Nepal. By making card payments easier and safer for everyone, this partnership aims to take the country a step further towards a digital economy.
Online merchants who wish to provide this secure payment option to their customers can contact NMB Bank to add the gateway to their portal. NMB Bank is currently providing high level services through 202 branches, 184 ATMs and 9 extension counters across the country.
