New driver's license fully safe, practical and quality: Ministry of Communication
Kathmandu. The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology announced the latest progress regarding the printing of smart driver's license, technology and security enhancement and said that the currently implemented system is more secure and practical according to international standards.
The ministry issued a press release on Monday, giving detailed information about the technical structure, security level and long-term strategy of the new smart license being printed through the Security Printing Center. According to the ministry, the new smart license has been completely prepared according to the international standard 'ISO 7810 ID-1'.
The size of which is similar to a credit card used around the world. According to the ministry, Nepal has also adopted this card based on the same technology that developed countries have been using for decades. With the conclusion that the 'smart chip' technology used in the past could not be effectively implemented, the government has chosen a new format.
