Nepal's emphasis on strengthening the United Nations development system

Kathmandu. Nepal has emphasized on the need to strengthen the United Nations development system. Nepal is of the opinion that it is necessary to do so to ensure multilateralism. Lok Bahadur Thapa, Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations, emphasized the need to enable the United Nations Development System to address the challenges and opportunities after 2030 in the discussion on 'Future of Multilateralism: Building the United Nations Development System for Post-2030' held at the United Nations Headquarters today.

Accoding to the Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Thapa said that the development system should be strengthened not only for the implementation of the remaining Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), but also to include future challenges and opportunities.
