Kathmandu. The Nepali Communist Party has publicized its views on the current political situation and the upcoming elections and has called on all concerned parties to be responsible for conducting the elections in a clean, fair and fearless environment. In a press conference on Tuesday, the party stated that the country is moving from a complex and sensitive situation to a decisive election process and claimed that its position that the election should be held at the appointed time is based on the objective situation and proved correct. The party has also said that it is making sincere and continuous efforts to normalize the situation after the youth movement.

The party claims that public trust is increasing based on its struggling history, clear ideas and future action plans, and has mentioned that they are constantly raising agendas such as governance reforms after the promulgation of the constitution, strengthening of the federal democratic republic, good governance, social justice, self-reliant economy and job creation.

In the press conference, it was noted that the country is facing the challenge of two types of extremism. The party is of the opinion that the trend of suppressing peaceful movement while protecting misrule on the one hand and the activities of attacking the pillars of democracy on the other hand are both harmful to democracy and national stability.
